Yesterday a bunch of us photogs got together for the monthly group meeting.  This time it was a shoot out held in downtown Tucson with dancers in an urban setting.  It seems only Tucson photographers attended this time… sad to not see some of the Phoenix faces.  So you better come next time.  Anyhow here’s a little behind the scenes shots I captured throughout our afternoon.  This shoot was a little challenging since we didn’t know exactly what to do with the dancers and couldn’t explain the moves we wanted them to do without sounding like complete idiots.  Example… ‘ok I want you to stand over here, by this pole thingy, and raise your arm & leg like this (and some of us attempted to demonstrate… bad idea).’ Totally silly… cause we didn’t know the correct dance terminology.  So we resulted to explaining the move from a movie or something… lol! Ok here they are & I’ll put up the shots I actually captured of the dancers shortly.

Stuart directing the first dancer.

Joe, Kadie, and Erin photographing Max… who was up for anything!  Can’t get any better than that!

Ray, Robert, Erin, Joe, and Kadie in action.

Ok so who ever can guess who’s shoes these are you will win like a million $$$… ok maybe a shinny penny the next time I see you!

  1. Michelle Rasmussen These rock - oh, except you could have cropped out my gut!!! Haha! I am guessing these are Joe and Kadie's shoes - did anyone else get in the water besides the models??? Thanks for sharing!

  2. Michelle Rasmussen Ok, I change my answer after looking more closely at the shots...the flip-flops are Kadie's and the cute shoes are Erin's! :)

  3. Casia Ding ding ding... your second guess is right. Next time I see you I'll give ya that shinny penny you deserve!

  4. Erin I'll throw in a penny for Michelle too!! Those ARE my shoes! ;)

  5. Rachael Earl So sad I had to miss this one, but I did get to go to Disneyland! I'd love to see some of your shots!

  6. Kieran Wow this looks like fun... I'm an aspiring Tucson photographer, and am a fan of your (and Katie's) work. How do I get in on these shoots? :)
