This year I told everyone to go easy on the gifts & that I didn’t need much.  Just some cozy pj’s.  Well here’s my favorites that some of my close friends & family came up with.  Some are splurges and some are truly gifted from the heart.  Those are my favorite kind.

My hubby Eric got me this ultra ‘I never wanna get out of this thing’ cozy sweater robe from The Gap.  Then my sis splurged on my very first ‘COACH’ purse.  She told me she got it awhile ago with a discount…so that makes me feel better now.  I’m afraid to wear it.  I’ve never owned a purse that cost more than $20 buckaroos. Seriously.  Well they always end up on the sticky floor anyway.  Ekkk…not this one I promise!

Next up is my hilarious gift from my red-headed crazy friend David.  When he asked what I had been wanting I told him he could just get me a flaming bag of reindeer pooh.  Well to my amazement he actually didn’t disappoint me. Ha.  I’m afraid to eat the little brown candies.  Maybe he should test them out first?  I think so.  Then my Dad & step mom got me this really cute clock with square openings for pics.  Love it. Now I just need an actual wall that isn’t see through with just wood studs to hang on…LOL.

I can never have enough iTunes credits.  This is from my husband as well…though I secretly think he bought it for us…I mean him…I mean us!  I still haven’t used all my credits from last year. Yikes.  Then I was also surprised with a cool little cd.  But it was much more.  Kadie Perry tickets for the two of us!  Woo Hoo. Brownie points for the custom label he designed.  She’s coming to the University for a gig in Febuary. Funny story is that I found out the day before xmas that she was coming to town & did a whole big blog post on myspace to all my friends who wanted to go with me. Then I told Eric about it and he had to act like he had no idea.  Dang it…I always seem to spoil surprises.

My hand crafted gift from the heart!  Now next year we’ll have to get a tree.  Eric’s nephew’s Dan & William made these for everyone.  I just love how kid-like and crafty they turned out.  The boys are only 5 & 3 years old…I think we have some more artists in the family.

Another hand crafted gift is my super chic anthro-like purple scarf that my good friend Lauren made.  Yes made!!!  And no she’s not an old lady.  I think it’s way HIP and I really wanna learn.  I had also been looking for a cute light weight scarf & she totally made my day.  And it’s purple.  Just a coincidence though.  Then I received another purse.  This brown ‘going out to the boutiques’ kinda day bag is so me!  Eric’s mom did a great job selecting it.  Has lots of little compartments too.  Perfect for a gal with tons of accessories.  I hope my iphone fits on the side pouch.

Ok so now I wanna hear from all of you!!! Yes you actually have to comment instead of just spying.  Tell me what was your ABSOLUTE favorite gift you received & why.  Or you can tell me what you may have given to someone and the meaning behind it.

Ready . Set . Go…I’m timing you all!

Ok so when I saw this video posted on Kadie Pangburn’s blog I just knew I had to share it with you all as well! This is the coolest wedding music video documented…ever. Well that I’ve seen. Produced by http://www.LOCKDOWNprojects.com/. I can’t even imagine or fathom the work & orchestrating that went into this day. It so ROCKS though. Talk about the most memorable thing ever from your BIG DAY. We’re totally going to plan this for our 10th. Now we just have to think about what song we would choose? How could we ever narrow it down…any suggestions?

Holy Hanna Hotness!!!  So can’t ya tell I’m excited?.  This past Sunday I had the pleasure of photographing Rhonda & Jerry’s flipside session. And they brought me a little surprise…yes this pretty little shinny car rolled into the empty lot. OMG.  I just knew it was going to be a spectacular afternoon with them. Originally we had planned to do a specific top secret clothing/theme idea to start off with for the shoot but things didn’t pan out.  I did get a rain check though to use one day with them when things line up and were able to do exactly what I had in mind.  Here’s a hint…they both are postal carriers & can you guess what I wanted them to wear for fun? That’s all I’m saying.  But this gift on wheels was far more exciting and was a GREAT back up.  Of course we did much more then just this but you’ll all have to wait and see.  Rhonda & Jerry totally shocked me on how ‘daring’ they were.  Makes me giggle and at times I was a tad bit nervous. So to hold you over I did this little peak on how their flipside session began.  Can you believe that Eric took the 2nd & 3rd shots.  Such great details.  I always tell people that he is so meticulous. I think both of us could have shot a thousand different details and they would all be totally different.  Vintage cars ROCK. Again thank you guys for bringing so much inspiration and laughter to the day.  Jerry was tough to crack at times but with the help of Rhonda and her silly witty ‘inside joke’ phrases she had us all rolling.  Tickle tickle.  Yep this is one of them.  Who knew that this would make us all laugh…especially grown men!.

Ok so YAY these are finally up.  There are so many cool ones.  It’s really hard to narrow it down to a post though.  I may add more later but for timing purposes this is what I could take on.  So it’s US.  Yes.  In November Kadie from ‘Pangburn Photography’ took our flipside portraits around the downtown area.  We are so thrilled with the outcome and can’t wait to use these bad boys all over our ‘about us’ pages.  It’s so much fun to model and NOT be the one’s not running around with our heads cut off.  It’s a breeze compared to being the photog.  Seriously.  Yes we have to hike all over the place in our super rad outfits but who cares it’s so worth it.  But dang those heels killed me.  FYI…it’s great to bring ballet flats along for all the walking which I did and it totally saved my butt.  I mean feet.  But they still hurt that day. UGH. Guess I’m just not a heel girl…but I sure do love the way they look & photograph. Guys have it way too easy.

We hope you all enjoy & have a modern . fresh . hip holiday season! xoxo
