This year I told everyone to go easy on the gifts & that I didn’t need much.  Just some cozy pj’s.  Well here’s my favorites that some of my close friends & family came up with.  Some are splurges and some are truly gifted from the heart.  Those are my favorite kind.

My hubby Eric got me this ultra ‘I never wanna get out of this thing’ cozy sweater robe from The Gap.  Then my sis splurged on my very first ‘COACH’ purse.  She told me she got it awhile ago with a discount…so that makes me feel better now.  I’m afraid to wear it.  I’ve never owned a purse that cost more than $20 buckaroos. Seriously.  Well they always end up on the sticky floor anyway.  Ekkk…not this one I promise!

Next up is my hilarious gift from my red-headed crazy friend David.  When he asked what I had been wanting I told him he could just get me a flaming bag of reindeer pooh.  Well to my amazement he actually didn’t disappoint me. Ha.  I’m afraid to eat the little brown candies.  Maybe he should test them out first?  I think so.  Then my Dad & step mom got me this really cute clock with square openings for pics.  Love it. Now I just need an actual wall that isn’t see through with just wood studs to hang on…LOL.

I can never have enough iTunes credits.  This is from my husband as well…though I secretly think he bought it for us…I mean him…I mean us!  I still haven’t used all my credits from last year. Yikes.  Then I was also surprised with a cool little cd.  But it was much more.  Kadie Perry tickets for the two of us!  Woo Hoo. Brownie points for the custom label he designed.  She’s coming to the University for a gig in Febuary. Funny story is that I found out the day before xmas that she was coming to town & did a whole big blog post on myspace to all my friends who wanted to go with me. Then I told Eric about it and he had to act like he had no idea.  Dang it…I always seem to spoil surprises.

My hand crafted gift from the heart!  Now next year we’ll have to get a tree.  Eric’s nephew’s Dan & William made these for everyone.  I just love how kid-like and crafty they turned out.  The boys are only 5 & 3 years old…I think we have some more artists in the family.

Another hand crafted gift is my super chic anthro-like purple scarf that my good friend Lauren made.  Yes made!!!  And no she’s not an old lady.  I think it’s way HIP and I really wanna learn.  I had also been looking for a cute light weight scarf & she totally made my day.  And it’s purple.  Just a coincidence though.  Then I received another purse.  This brown ‘going out to the boutiques’ kinda day bag is so me!  Eric’s mom did a great job selecting it.  Has lots of little compartments too.  Perfect for a gal with tons of accessories.  I hope my iphone fits on the side pouch.

Ok so now I wanna hear from all of you!!! Yes you actually have to comment instead of just spying.  Tell me what was your ABSOLUTE favorite gift you received & why.  Or you can tell me what you may have given to someone and the meaning behind it.

Ready . Set . Go…I’m timing you all!

  1. Julie Herman Hum....favorite....??? lol. I guess I would have to say clothes from the Parentals. They did an awesome job this year- got the right sizes and all. I got warm and cozy pj sets and a warm-fury zip up hoodie!! Absolutly love it!!!!

  2. David Mansfield If I had to choose a favorite gift this year, I would say it was a tie between the JC Penny gift card from Erin and the Borders gift card from Saleena and Toni. I was able to get a new work shirt and tie (yes they match!) with the JC Penny gift card and with the Borders gift card I chose to get a book written my Kevin Smith. Oh, and if you were wondering about the chocolates I got from you..well, they were gone in less than a day! YUMMY :-) As far as giving gifts goes, I was fortunate enough to actually be able to give gifts to almost everybody I know. Some were harder to shop for than most, and some (like the key chains I got for both Keli and Roxanne) were a "see it and instantly know its a great idea" type of thing. I just tried to do the best i could to get my close friends and family gifts they would enjoy!

  3. Kara Elmore Hmmm - I would have to say receiving my itunes credit... and giving my husband his very own indiana jones bull whip!! :)

  4. Kadie Pangburn How fun, my FAVORITE gift was from my Dad. Our family are disneyland freaks... like we go every year since I was born almost. And out in front between Disneyland and California Adventures they pave the ground with these stones with peoples names on them, kinda like hollywood blvd. Anyway, my dad bought Joey and I one with our names and wedding date on it, so for the rest of my life when I go and someday take my kids we can go stand by out stone and take pics like we're movie stars... I'm so excited!!!

  5. Michelle Rasmussen Nice gifts C! Ok, well I can tell you my favorite gift was NOT poor little Kai puking into a pink candy dish in the car on the way home Xmas eve...it was NOT getting the cough-sore-throat-turned flu...BUT it was going on an adventure with the boys on Xmas morning and having them ask to watch the video everyday since and wanting to go on a "poto-poot" again almost everyday. OH YES, and my new iPhone. Heehee. Sorry that was more than one!

  6. amy i got but one thing this year but it was enough.... 5d mk II baby!

  7. Julie Okay this will just show my age then add 20 years, but my favorite gift for Christmas was my new tupperware. but the best gift i received was actually from my husband for our anniversary this y ear he used his graphic intellgence and creativity and made me a coupon book of various things he would for me this year, along with gift cards to my favorite places so that I can go on a mini shopping spree. It was very cute and thoughtful. Probably one of the best gifts I've ever received.
