So this year will be my first year attending Imaging USA!!!  It’s great since it’s in Phoenix this time.  All I have is a 2 hour drive. Yay! No baggage check.  I’m always so nervous about losing my luggage ever since it was lost on our honeymoon.  So I will be attending numerous full day workshop classes, the huge vendor trade show (so excited to see all the new & creative products)…hopefully I won’t spend too much moo lah! Oh and lots of mini lectures covering marketing, ‘green’ packaging, and photoshop techniques.  You name it.  It’s covered.  I would love to hear if you’re going, volunteering, or having a booth of your own?  Leave me a little comment as to who’s all attending and I hope we can run into each other.  I will be there from Friday Jan. 9th through Tuesday Jan. 13th.  I’ll do a post later on what classes I’m attending!  I can’t wait I’ve been looking forward to this since August.  And at that time it seemed so far away.

So right before xmas came around I got the pleasure to photograph this super fun couple’s flipside engagement session.  These sessions are my absolute favorite thing in the whole wide world along with detour’s & me2’s.  Ok well maybe MR. DQ comes close.  And golden wings from Oregano’s.  And lip gloss. And Anthropology.  So I have a lot.  I’m just glad I get to experience them all.

Speaking of experience…Rhonda & Jerry were so much fun to walk around with.  I was so anxious to see what I could capture with their personalities.  I adore these moments we got.  So real.  And just plain o’ fun. Don’t cha think?  I can’t get over how many different locations we were able to accomplish and to think they were all within a short walking distance of each other.  We covered like 2 blocks.  That’s it.  I just love to walk around and see what jumps out at me and sparks my fancy.  Ha.  Guess that’s just my thing.

I’m so honored to photograph their wedding this March at the historical Stillwell House.  I know it will truly be an uniquely fabulous day that reflects their love.  The quant brick gem holds a very special place in our hearts as well…this is where we too said ‘I do.’

Gosh now it’s time to write 09 as the year.  It always takes me a few weeks to not accidently put the previous year 20072008.  I can’t believe how time flies. Everyone keeps telling me the older ya get the faster it goes by.  I’m really starting to believe em’.  Sometimes it’s good sometimes not.  But right now in this very moment I wanted to reflect on such an AH-mazing year.  It blows my mind that Purple Nickel has officially only been in business for a little over a year now, seriously, I can’t contemplate how far we’ve come.  This has been the best, hardest, stressful, rewarding, inspiring year yet.  And I wouldn’t have it any other way.  I want to thank all my family, friends, clients, and most importantly my super duper supportive husband for all you’re LOVE, CHEERING-ON, and constantly having MY BACK.  I am just dumbfounded as to where we have been and where we will go this coming year.  I have a feeling that 2009 is going to be the bestest year yet.  I have learned, participated, and ventured into so many new things.  Let alone the numerous friends I have gained.  From the bottom of my heart I say THANK YOU & Hell ya’.  You all rock my world and I can’t wait to rock many others.

Chickabowow do the happy-getto-dance with me it’s a NEW YEAR!
