Here’s what Eric & I were able to grab while we were shooting all day with ‘the click’! The shoot-out took place in Sedona & the weather was ah-mazing. We couldn’t have asked for a better day especially since it’s probably snowing there right now! Ha. We sooooo lucked out & so did the models. Stay tuned for all the super funky shots we were able to document with the couples! I’ve started editing them and they just blow my mind…sometimes I’m like ‘I shot that?!’ What! Or in this case ‘Eric shot that!’. Yep his in camera cropping just astonishes me

phillips . me2
So when Jack first contacted us about doing a me2 session at his family’s newly built home…we were like ‘oh yeah!’ And to think Jack was the one to get this thing rollin’…I can’t say that about many of our clients where the Dad ‘aka’ man of the fam does the planning *sweet* They hadn’t had a family portrait in many many many years. I’m sure glad they intrusted us on the newly updated artwork. And this would be artwork they’ve never ever had or experienced before!!! pNi STYLE. Well once Eric & I saw the numerous little surprises (hint hint…empty concrete pool…woo hoo…& rusted garage doors) surrounding their snazzy pad we knew this was the spot. So more to come on that soon. To hold ya all over here’s a sneak peek on one of the the ideas Jack plotted in my mind. The twin boys love to ride their bikes & they have the coolest cordinating little plates as well so I thought this set up would be super cute & cleaver. I think it turned out mighty fine!

stylish artwork like no other
Well that’s what I think! When we first heard that Sara & Tim wanted to create some canvas artwork for their home we were totally psyched! And their selections made us even more happoppy…meaning the pinnacle of happiness!. They chose one of our favorite shots from our me2 sessions of 2008. Sometimes you just have to admit that it’s all about little Nolan. And I love that it’s in b&w. Who needs to see the parents faces anyhow…just their bums will do…LOL. These random in the moment type shots are my absolute favorite. They TRULY make great statements. And ok…so the color image isn’t so bad either. I think what totally makes it is that Nolan isn’t looking at the camera…more like gigglin off into space somewhere. Or at Eric?. Probably Eric. Those crazy kids sure do love him. Anyhow FYI…the color image was made as a 16×20 to fit inside a specific cove/inset area in their hallway. And the b&w was a….drum roll please….30×30! Wham. This will be the first thing anyone sees as they enter the Himes house. Yay this makes me giddy. I totally wanted to keep it but since we don’t have a studio space yet I was like ‘ok they can have it.’ Ha. Sure glad I did take some pics though.
Can’t wait to create more of these for our 09 clients!!!
