rhonda + jerry . ditto
What can I say…we’ve loved Rhonda & Jerry ever since we had the pleasure of shooting their flipside awhile back. So we were SUPER DUPER stoked when we got the opportunity to shoot their ditto (wedding) last weekend. Rhonda & Jerry loooove to play volleyball and Jerry just recently started to get the photography itch (hence the awesome lomography fisheye). I thought I’d put up a quick sneak peek, just to hold them (and you) over. Enjoy…cause we did!!!!

Holy smokes get ready for a long post. Time to pop your popcorn and start the spectacular-ness. Seriously we LOVE this couple. First off when the husband is up for anything and starts throwing out ideas…OMG…fabulous! We’ve never met anyone so ‘in-to’ their shoot before! And it totally shows. We became so inspired & in return created a whole hand full of ah-mazing images x2. I don’t even know where to begin. So I’ll just go…hula hoop, hick-ville, and abandonded buildings. Yep that’s the setting! Or like Tony called it ‘Americana’. One day I promise he’ll get to do his airstream shoot that he keeps talking about! Can’t wait for that day. And Marcy…what a doll! She is the ying to Tony’s yang…LOL. Cheeseballs all the way. So because of their excitement, game plan, and all out goofyiness we’ve decided that every person from this point on has to ‘bring it’ so to speak to their shoot! Oh it’s on……!

OK…I think this shot is becoming a staple around here in Purple Nickel land. We seem to create it with every session. It’s so fun and everytime it’s completely different. The background, the amount of legs, the variety of shoes, and most noticeably…everyone’s posture. It totally expresses their personality & how they contrast each other. This past Friday, we had the opportunity to shoot the Hatch family…Nathan, Amber, Lucas & little Devan. I LOVE how Nathan & Lucas have the typical ‘guy stance’, straight on GQ!!! Then Amber & Devan have the totally girly ‘free’ spirited stance. AWESOME!!! I didn’t even notice this until I was working on the image…it’s what I call a ‘happy accident!’. This family was so much fun to work with. Down to earth, silly and very much ‘go with the flow’. That’s how Eric & I live our lives and we are so thrilled that we are given opportunties to share this with families such as them. And how cool is it that we are able to create artwork souley off personalities like this!
