Holy moly cuteness…seriously! I had to get this one up to hold mommy over before she has a heart attack with anticipation…LOL. I would too. These two wonderful girls Phoebe & Ruby are what you would say ‘total hams’ when it comes to the camera. Though it seems we got the best images when we were prentending not to take their pictures. I would say ‘Oh I’m not ready yet…just look this way for a sec or talk to each other or look at each other’s noses!’  These are just some of my trickie tricks to distract. And normally I try not to do too many ‘camera aware’ shots meaning everyone is looking at the camera…it’s just not my style…but they have the most beautiful skin & I *heart* their little freackles…which you’ll see later in their close ups.  Plus I LOVE this image since it’s a spin on my funky torso shots.  Can’t wait to show you all of our favorites…it’s gonna be really really tough.

What can I say…we LOVE our clients.  Epecially when they bring lots of cool things on their wedding day…like a freakin cute shiny black Vespa!. We couldn’t get enough of it & kinda wanna steal it from them. Or maybe we can just take a ride sometime?.  We had a total blast the whole day and were treated just like family.  How cool is that?!  WAY COOL…I must say myself.  The weather was perfect and so were the many warm heart-felt conversations.  It was so neat to hear all the funny stories about the newly weds.  Eric & I will always remember their wedding especially since they got married @ the Stillwell House just like us.  I even decided to ‘re-create’ a shot from our own…and who ever can guess by leaving a comment and is correct get’s a little surprise from me!!!  Here’s a hint…it’s the same well-reconized shot from celebrity Tiffany Amber Theissen’s wedding. Let the guessing begin…Oh it’s on…and after that I just might have to post our shot from 3yrs ago!!!

My ‘oh so photogenic’ photog buddy Leah Simmers who’s also located here in…’good ol’ Tucson, Arizona’ (you need to say that last part out loud with a western accent) got featured through an interview on blu’s blog!  HOLY COW that’s soooo cool!  She’s always winning contests with them…it was just finally nice to see her plastered on their site.  And YAY…a Tucson photographer get’s exposure.  It’s been well over due & about freakin time for some fresh inspiration…especially with lifestyle photography and not the typical wedding stuff.  She’s a specialist when it comes to children & family sessions.  All on location with natural lighting.  Woo hoo that’s my girl!  Both of ‘us’ gals ADORE photographing those ‘in the moment’ type shots with kiddos.  Posed is soooooo 1980’s.  Now we interact and let everyone be themselves.  How could you not love that?. So move your mouse & click on over to her whimsical site and show her some *love*…or your best fish-lips face?!

Yesterday I (Eric) found out some very saddening news.  I have been following Derek Leavitt (aka @architectderek) for some time now and after reading his tweets regarding the passing of little Madeline Alice Sophr, I could not help but feel an overwhelming desire to help in any way possible.  I do not know Heather and Mike Sophr and I can not imagine what they must be going through.  Madeline (Maddie) passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday April 7th.  It is times like these that I take stock of all the wonderful things that exist in my life.  I urge you to do the same. Heather and Mike have asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to March for Maddie, a March of Dimes – March for Babies one day walking foundraiser.  Maddie was born pre-mature and Heather and Mike have vowed to help others.  They have created their own team event, one that Maddie was supposed to participate in…all the more saddening.  Casia and I have decided to make a donation in Maddie’s honor to her March of Dimes event.  Please take a moment and visit her blog ‘The Spohrs are Multiplying‘ to find out more about this wonderful little girl.

Finally…YAY some of our super-ly unique silly willy favorites from our ’shoot swap’ with the lovely photog Heidi Fazio & her main squeeze(s). Obviously we have some sort of obsession with legs, shoes, and shadow shots.  Maybe it’s time for counseling!!! Ha.  Not.  It’s just our thing. Enjoy…
