You saw their sneak peek a few days ago…now their flipside engagement session is here YIPPIE!!!  We had a blast working on these images.  Especially the ones with silly expressions & humor…of course!  We all had to have a good laugh because the weather was so stinkin’ HOT and there wasn’t a breeze insight.  So much for fall starting in Arizona right?!  That will be in November…LOL.  Again we thank you two for driving down from Sierra Vista to come play with us in Tucson.  Our favorite thing about their session (besides Sarah + Tim) were all the fantastic textures and colors we encountered.  We totally love to document yummy details like the warm golden tones of distressed wood and the icy-blues reflecting from steel structures.  It’s like our eyes are drawn to them like a bug drawn to a shimmering light bulb.  Except we don’t get ‘ZAPPED’.  Poor little guys…

Meet Sarah + Tim…they’re ENGAGED!!!  We were sooooo delighted to photograph these two.  They are gettin’ HITCHED come next May in Washington DC and I must tell you they completely trusted us with choosing the location for their engagement session. Plus any ideas we had…LOVE IT.  Talk about hitting it off from the start.  Sarah and Tim are so easy-going and laid back…just like us! It made their experience that much more enjoyable.  To hold them over and all you viewers out there we decided to give ya a sneak peek…

Take 2…another session…no clouds. This time we left the stinkin’ tripod @ home and we decided to collect simple images of each other with no plan in mind. An experiment of sorts.  It was FUN & pretty EASY!  And that’s what we’re all about.  In a way it was just about goofing off and being ourselves.  I’m usually the type who’s giggling and smirking & Eric’s the serious pondering one.  I think we captured our personalities to a T. Wouldn’t you agree?  For those of you who don’t know us very well or are just starting off the adventure around Purple Nickel land you can read more HERE & HERE about us crazy kids and how we see things.

On a side note…we’re always sooooo curious as to who stops by to read our OFF THE GRID saga’s (oh lord Eric’s Starwars addiction is rubbing off on me).  If you have a minute please say ‘HI’ in the comments below.  And maybe you can tell us more about yourself and how you found us and why you come back to see us from time to time.  If you’re too shy or just a blog stalker that’s fine…maybe just say hello!

We also have a lovely {FACEBOOK FANPAGE} where you can see more about what silly willy things we’re up to throughout the week.  We also post client albums, fun happenings, and random thoughts that tend to pop up. Eric & I would LOVE for you to become a fan!!!

Thanks again for stopping by!

Take 1.  Yep that’s right.  We couldn’t get it in one session.  Why?…you ask.  First let me tell you how difficult it is to capture images of ‘us’ together in the same shot.  Especially when we’re the one’s photographing & modeling!  It’s really challenging to accomplish our free flowing style when you have to put the camera on a stick…LOL! We normally don’t use a tripod due to it’s straight forward uniformity and angle limitation (unless that’s the look we’re going for).  And it sort of was since we BOTH we’re in FRONT of the camera.  We simply wanted to grab a few silly shots that we could combine together in a grid…hence the tripod.  But boy did the weather knock us down almost immediatly.  Sometimes the weather here in Tucson, Arizona is known to change without a notice…this is rare though and tends to only happen during the ‘Monsoon‘ season where storm clouds form and short microbursts of rain happen.  It was a typical hot blazin’ sunny summer day but then the clouds seemed to appear & roll in very quickly and so did the over powering wind. It was almost something out of a movie.  No joke.  So we called it ‘quits’. After all we were on top of a 5 story parking garage @ the UofA witnessing the lightning.  Ekkkk.  You can see the monsoon clouds reflecting in Eric’s sunglasses…a cool happy accident I must say!

Stay tuned for take 2…coming shortly!
