Archive for July, 2012
So Susan… remember that time you said over and over how challenging it was going be to photograph little Elise (who’s 18 months)? Well it wasn’t! Honestly we have yet to meet a little one who we are not holding by the end of the session. It’s kinda our thing to become their buddy. Oh and prove the parents wrong.
They WILL giggle, they WILL jump, they WILL run all over the place and finally CRACK a smirk. We will be ready!
PS – WE ARE incredibly thankful for such wonderful clients who get what we do and continue to help spread the word. We take great pride in creating a truly custom experience for each and every one of you. THANK YOU Sara, again for shouting it from the roof tops and introducing us to the Selvy Family!!!
The Wisch family has been eagerly waiting to get their photographs taken with us for awhile now… We started our conversation from afar (Austria) in early spring and instantly knew we couldn’t wait for July to get here. Well, it did and fast. Beth, aka Elizabeth, aka mom used to live in Tucson and was always fond of the mountains. SCORE cause we love shooting there! This mountain extravaganza began with a BUNCH of stories, some laughing and a few screams. There was a tiny pencil like snake that slithered by, a few chupacabra’s stalking us in the tall grasses and oh yeah, one cranky-pants two year old. We survived it ALL and here’s the proof that NO ONE can stay crabby with us…
Here’s what the Wisch family had to say about their experience with us…
“We had a fantastic experience with Purple Nickel Studio. We were not the easiest clients, between the huge time difference between Austria and Arizona and the shipping challenges (not to mention our incredibly crabby toddler), but Casia and Eric were wonderful and understanding. At the photo shoot they really brought our girls out of their shells and took incredible pictures that really captured our personalities. They took unique pictures that will be beautiful pieces of artwork that display our family and my hometown in a way that will make a timeless addition to our decor. They talked to us to see what we were looking for and the final pictures were better than I ever could have imagined. Thank you so much Casia and Eric! We can’t wait to hang them on our walls and share them with everyone!”
Alright… clearly something is in the water because we know so many couples expecting their first or second kiddo. We have a strong feeling we’ll be photographing a lot more little one’s come this fall. It’s an awesome change of subject and we get to escape the heat by photographing indoors. Speaking of heat, this newborn session was supposed to take place yesterday but baby Costa decided he wanted to experience summer earlier rather than later. A true boy, wouldn’t you say? So we bumped (snicker) up the photo shoot and we couldn’t be happier with what’s below. This is the Liabotis family’s first shoot with PN. Not gonna lie they did good! We can’t thank you enough Andrea and Elias for trusting us with our vision. It’s easy to do when everyone is as laid back and easy-going as you two.
Bonus Eames Lounger + ottoman!!! He will grow up in style…
We also want to give a HUGE shout out to our friend Sara for constantly spreading the love and introducing the Liabotis family to PN!!!
