Yes, you are seeing correctly… TWINS!!!
Aren’t they scrumptious? Just like cookies. These two are at the perfect stage. They smile, giggle and toss their milk… all at the same time. Don’t mind the blatant use of milk and cookies, it must be the holidays. It’s sessions like these that remind us how thankful we are to have two photographers. If one of us wasn’t photographing, we were holding/feeding a brother, running for a bib or getting the boy’s attention by making the most awkward high pitched sounds. Hey, we do whatever it takes! Let’s just say it was VERY entertaining. These boys did fantastic (and so did the parents). We are droolin’ over these images…
We also want to give a huge thank you to Sidney our intern for tagging along and shlepping whatever we threw her way. No joke. What a trooper.
We just can’t get enough of our family portraits this season. We especially love how assorted our clientele is. Some families are small and some are really big. Some have a boy and girl and some have multiples of the same. We have yet to photograph a family with just three boys and are proud to feature the Chase family. They are new to PN. It was a nice change to photograph kids who, well, how do I put this nicely…. STAYED STILL. Don’t get us wrong we love wiggle worms, climbing monkeys and very silly faces, but this time around we were able to direct them. We took advantage of hard light and had time to set up multiple concepts. They were kind enough to let us experiment and played along patiently with our ideas. YAY team Chase!
The END! Ok not quite yet…. a rare moment of me not behind the camera. And no I was not drinking a big gulp!
Fall season is surely in FULL swing (no pun intended… you’ll see) and we are excited to showoff another family new to PN! The Davenports instantly made us feel welcome. It was clear from the first moment we met, they LOOOOOOVE photography. Their vast collection of family memories and heritage is classically showcased throughout their home. It led to many personal stories. Of course we love hearing them all. These stories are precisely why we do what we do. We strive to create these same memories for all of our families. We get the warm and fuzzies when we imagine our clients telling the same stories about our photography. So when it came to planning their session (in our style) we knew we had big shoes to fill. It was merely a bonus that there was a super cute new addition that needed some attention. Say HI to baby Jack!
Cecie and Deron, thank you for allowing us to capture your family and we are extremely gracious that your long time photographer Sarah Prall entrusted us with creating these new moments. Really means a lot! On a side note… we love when our clients let us spend time with their kiddos. The faces and expressions they make when mom and dad aren’t around are hilarious. Nora is proof of this!
