We photographed the above series of images separately (cropped ‘in camera’) and then pieced together in post production. We never meant to compose the images this way at the time but after some experimentation we knew we just had to show em’ this way. Hope it made you giggle!

These two were a blast to photograph. We first met David + Elfi at the Modern Phoenix Expo a few weeks ago. They LOVED our booth coxy mod living rm display + photography…so we squeezed in a session within that week! WOOHOO! They we’re in town all the way from Canada too. SWEET!!! So we of course had them come to our neck of the woods. Plus we’ve been wanting to photograph a spunky fun couple in this cool historic parking garage in downtown Tucson for quite sometime now. YAY…we all totally worked it out & how could we not? Especially with tons of YUMMY tiltshift lens goodness and perfect sunlight. Check em’ ooooooout…..

We are sooooo HAPPY to finally show off this fabulous photographic collection!!! Back in January we collaborated with another ah-mazing husband + wife team for a two day photography (insert mega-phone & a man with a very deep voice shouting)…EXTRA.VA.GANZA!!! Click…here if you don’t remember our sneak peek blog post & to learn more. Greenray went ‘live’ online last week and we couldn’t be more excited for Read + Amber. ’But what is greenray?’ you ask!. Oh silly rabbit just a piece of organic eco YUMMY-NESS that makes you wanna just jump for joy. Really!!! When we first heard what this whole-hearted company was about we knew it was going to be a HUGE success! Their amazing concept is to help spread awareness about environmental issues through a bug named ‘Ray’…their ECO-friendly ‘praying mantis’ who appears differently on every shirt design.

So we PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ask you to check out their bitchin’ website @ www.gogreenray.com and see for yourself how dope their branding + graphics + over all environmental friendly vibe is…it’ll melt your mind. Better yet it’ll make you wanna go start gardening! We LOVE when fellow artists incorperate all things green & sustainable within their business and most importantly within their lifestyle. All of greenray’s tees are made of organic cotton, their screenprinters + tailors are within walking distance of their office, and they give back to the community through carbonfund.org & trees for the future. They even have a tree planted every time a shirt is sold!!! WAY COOL!!!

Last weekend Eric & I had the pleasure (scratch that)…lovely challenge of photographing a whole group of crazy fun teenagers for Julissa’s sweet 16 pre-party bash! We headed out to hit the streets of downtown Tucson for some urban yumminess. And boy did we find it. As Eric & I scouted out the location within the parking garage we were greeted by security as we had set off the surveillance sensors on the upper deck! ***SWEET*** Wouldn’t be a shoot without doing so now would it?. I guess we have to have a permit to use the upper deck but not the lower two floors. And thankfully this little spot of goodness was located just above ground level…so we soaked it up. Although this image might seem quite simple to orchestrate…your dead wrong. You try getting 16 teenagers to all pose straight on to the camera with no ‘diva’ or ‘GQ’ attidudes….it’s rough! And for them to NOT talk while doing so. But we wooooorked it out and this was basically the only shot where all of them did their job. Woo hoo…that’s all it takes and we couldn’t be happier with the results.

When Eric and I first met Read & Amber of ‘greenray‘ tees we were BLOWN AWAY by their enthusiasm. They’re a husband + wife creative duo…just like us! So they know exactly how fabulous it is to work together as a partnership. And of course we wouldn’t have it any other way!!! Read + Amber are starting a brand NEW adventure together within the clothing industry. So exciting!!! Their AMAZING concept behind greenray’s organic graphic tees is to help spread awareness about environmental issues through a bug named Ray…their ECO-friendly ‘praying mantis’. He’s way cool and gets to participate in so many RAD-ilicious activities…from biking to meditation to breakdancing!!! Their first line up which hits this spring consists of 13 designs made for men & women…some are for both! But you’ll just have to wait n’ see all their wicked creations once the site unveils….oh’ so very soon! Seriously you’re gonna LOVE IT!!!

And we can’t say this enough but thanks again Read & Amber for such a killer weekend of shooting. We couldn’t have asked for a better group of models/friends to hang out with during the journey!

Yay…these are finally up! Phew…it’s been a little crazy around here and I want to THANK Liora for being soooooo patient. We met Liora back in October (I know I know this post is well over-due) and she couldn’t be more sweeter. See more about our introduction…HERE! I can truly say I really enjoyed working on her images along with all the COOL architecture shots Eric photographed. It’s so easy to get consumed by such Ah-mazing details when they involve modern textures and elements. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea but it sure the heck is ours!!! We’re going to have to create a ‘BEST OF THE BEST’ blog post from 2009’s random objects and details. FOR REAL! And Liora’s shoot has lots of them…it was hard for me not to combine them all in her flipside portrait session. It just added to the character of the shoot and we LOVE that. Not to mention how easy it was to photograph her. Photographing photographers or artists in general lends it self to an experience filled with tons of creativity. Everyone gets involved. The shared ideas and visions make the concept much more powerful. We can’t wait to collaborate with many more artists in the future. Hint…hint…we have something up our sleeves for 2010…but you’ll just have to wait and see!

I LURVVVVE this flipside session Eric & I photographed with my sister Julie and her two dogs for her Birthday!!! Click…HERE to read more about our concept in our previous sneak peek. This post is quite a long one so just pace yourself. It’s always so hard to decide which images to showcase on here…I’m thinking that’s a good thing. OH YES! These two pooches are beyond cutie-patooties. Bella the ‘mommy’ of the two just likes to be loved and loves EVERYONE (she’s the black & white one). Whereas Rylie is the mischievous adventurous type. And they complete each other. A perfect sister-ship x 4.

I’m so glad we did the session when we did because I just found out early this morning by text message…5 am to be exact that Bella had a siezure. Rylie frantically paced the house and kept whining trying to wake Julie. At first my sister thought an intruder was in her house! Scary. But then she figured out what all the commotion was about. She found Bella in the hallway all curled up. The attack lasted for around 40 seconds which always seems longer when it’s happening. She finally relaxed after Julie cuddled with her. UGH…how nerve-racking. Bella was checked out immediately this morning by her vet and was given a good bill of health…Phew! No valley fever like Rylie. So at this point we still don’t know what caused the episode and now it’s Rylie’s job to look after her while Julie is at work. I just know she’ll play her part.

Ok no more sad talk…on to the FABULOUS photographs! I promise you’ll like them…

Wha-what!!! Yep another fun shoot with my sister Julie and her doggies. Only this time we ventured out further beyond Tucson and found some delicious pale yellow fields of grass. Yes Arizona does have fields. I know crazy huh?! It’s nice to have a change from the urban look that we always enjoy. So we packed up the car with lots of water and cozy blankets for the dogs and headed out for the afternoon to grab some killer photographs. Eric and I surprised my sister with the concept on her birthday back in mid October. Everytime we visit her home we notice how empty and lonely the walls are. So we decided to plan a flipside shoot and create some AH-mazing artwork for her to display. We’re going to hang some of our larger scale MOD canvas wraps which will make a BOLD statement in her place. I can’t wait to show you the layout. In the meantime here’s a little peek at what we had up our sleeves. Can you say….’way CUTE!!!’ LOVE IT!!! Meet Bella. She was the * of our last shoot (click HERE to see it) and soon you’ll be introduced to her other roommate Riley. Riley isn’t as photogenic as Bella but we sure did trick her into getting some great shots!

They met at a party. They were both there to meet someone else. The funny story is that their dates didn’t show and they ended up hitting it off. Karen and Chris are perfect together. A little apprehensive in front of the camera, but the feeling left very very quickly. We told em’ we were here to have some FUN and we totally did!!! How could we not…we were surrounded by YUMMY architectural details and mucho history. In case you’re wondering the flipside took place in Bisbee, Arizona (an old miners town)! We’re so HAPPY to show you the lovely Anniversary gift Karen gave to Chris. Sooooo sweet!
