So finally I have these up on the blog…so EXCITED!  A few weeks ago we all headed out to a new location that Eric & I had been scoping out. We knew Lauren & Ryan would totally be up for it…though we didn’t really tell them where we were going until about the time we arrived!  All we said is ‘bring your sneakers…cause you’re not gonna wanna walk in your heels through this place!’.  But of course we had them change shoes when we were ready for the shots.  And NO Ryan wasn’t wearing heels…LOL. Oh I can’t forget to mention that this is a great place to photograph during the 100 degree heat since it’s all in shade and in the river wash.  So much cooler in many many ways.  And Tucson has several that are all completely different from each other.  Some underpasses have columns, some have walls, most have really cool graphics, or really tall ceilings filled with bats…yes I said bats.  And lots o’ bat pooh!!!  It’s very surreal when you hear the bats above you but you can’t see them.  We thought maybe we would be able to see them in flight as the sun was setting but nope didn’t happen.  Which is odd cause they’re always flying around the street lights as the sun goes down.  Ok so now I feel like I’m rambling on…you can read more about the fabulous couple who we like to call ‘our really good friends’ in their sneak peek post I did earlier.

Chik . a . bow . WOW….introducing the amazingly fabulous Lauren & Ryan…and coming soon little ‘Londyn’. Gosh I just love that name…sooooo cute and fits this family to a T.  I just couldn’t wait to get a sneek peek up from their session yesterday.  I could just jump up and down right now I’m so excited about it.  It’s sooooo refreshing when we find a new site and EVERYONE is up for it. YAY!  Magic happens.  I’m serious it really does.  Don’t cha just love her dress, heels, and tats too! HOTNESS.  Eric & I found this site on Friday when we were scoutin’ locations for their shoot.  We were so stoked & thought it would be a perfect place to escape the Tucson heat we’ve been experiencing lately. Plus a cool breeze was present since we were down in a riverbed wash.  Well…come Sunday it decided to randomly rain and the sun stayed behind the clouds all afternoon.  Ha.  Go figure.  We worked it though and so did they.  But they always do. I believe this is their 3rd shoot with Purple Nickel.  We’re so glad we’ve become such great friends & get to document many more exciting sessions…especially with little ‘L’!!!.  Can’t wait to show you more soon…

Yeppers…it’s us!  Last Sunday we had the pleasure of meeting up in Scottsdale with Heidi Fazio…who came all the way from ‘freezing cold Minnosota’ with her family.  But they weren’t in town for just us…LOL.  They were on a family trip to get some much needed warmth and sun rays.  I bet they didn’t wanna go back either. Heidi & I belong to a photography forum that Skye Hardwick workshop attendee’s all follow and that’s how we met.  Woo hoo for cyber space.  Anyhow she contacted us awhile back about a potential ’session swap’ and we were totally up for it.  We haven’t had any recent pics since the fall and so we thought it was perfect timing.  Plus we wanted to re-visit a little hot spot of ours ‘Safari Drive‘ that’s totally modern and has amazing details & lighting…I think Eric would give one of his arms to live there.  No seriously.  And I would give a toe.  Here’s just some quick favorites I put together while going through our images.  More to come of course. Holy smokes get ready for a long post.  Time to pop your popcorn and start the spectacular-ness. Seriously we LOVE this couple. First off when the husband is up for anything and starts throwing out ideas…OMG…fabulous! We’ve never met anyone so ‘in-to’ their shoot before!  And it totally shows.  We became so inspired & in return created a whole hand full of ah-mazing images x2.  I don’t even know where to begin.  So I’ll just go…hula hoop, hick-ville, and abandonded buildings.  Yep that’s the setting!  Or like Tony called it ‘Americana’.  One day I promise he’ll get to do his airstream shoot that he keeps talking about!  Can’t wait for that day. And Marcy…what a doll!  She is the ying to Tony’s yang…LOL. So as I started going through and editing Marcy & Tony’s session from yesterday I knew instantly that I had to get this one up and show all of you! Eric & I were LOA’sO!!!  We call this our ‘freeze sucka’ shot!  Yes this is how the whole shoot went.  There wasn’t a dull moment.  And this idea just sort of happened when we suggested doing a ’strip search’ kind of pose…Tony was like ‘You mean like this?’…’How about this?!!!’ OMG. I love it!  It’s amazing when our sessions just sort of take on a ‘life of their own’.  It seems like every time there’s a constant theme.  Either laughter, silliness, calmness, or pure chaos.  Now that I think about it…they all embody these characteristics and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Thanks you two for totally bringing it…CANNOT wait to do it again!
