Holy moly cuteness…seriously! I had to get this one up to hold mommy over before she has a heart attack with anticipation…LOL. I would too. These two wonderful girls Phoebe & Ruby are what you would say ‘total hams’ when it comes to the camera. Though it seems we got the best images when we were prentending not to take their pictures. I would say ‘Oh I’m not ready yet…just look this way for a sec or talk to each other or look at each other’s noses!’  These are just some of my trickie tricks to distract. And normally I try not to do too many ‘camera aware’ shots meaning everyone is looking at the camera…it’s just not my style…but they have the most beautiful skin & I *heart* their little freackles…which you’ll see later in their close ups.  Plus I LOVE this image since it’s a spin on my funky torso shots.  Can’t wait to show you all of our favorites…it’s gonna be really really tough.

Finally…YAY some of our super-ly unique silly willy favorites from our ’shoot swap’ with the lovely photog Heidi Fazio & her main squeeze(s). Obviously we have some sort of obsession with legs, shoes, and shadow shots.  Maybe it’s time for counseling!!! Ha.  Not.  It’s just our thing. Enjoy…

Phew…I’ve been running around like a crazy woman these days. Spring season is in full swing and it’s getting harder & harder to juggle this whole ‘two’ job thing. Yeppers that’s right I still work a regular 45 hour gig on top of p+Ni. Let’s just say I keep the long list of things to do either on my post-its or in my silly little mind…LOL. Ok enough venting. On to another spectacular me2 session with a funky fresh family. Amber & Nathan Hatch run their own business (a low voltage company that installs home theaters & lighting) up in Phoenix…SO COOL!!! Mom gets major props for totally working it. She’s a DOLL…and I’m so happy they had as much fun as we did. Devan & Lucas were so silly together and couldn’t get enough.  We’re so thrilled because they let us choose the location and it’s one we’ve been wanting to shoot at for 2 years now…but never found the right client. BINGO. It’s great to be patient = getting what you want…Ha. I don’t always like to be soooo patient but these days our new clients (aka…super cool new friends) are giving us total creative reign. This = pure photography bliss!!! Yeeeee-haw. It’s like trust us…we’re artists :) DUH! That’s when we really get to SHINE. Can’t wait to share this architecturally splended shoot with you all.

Sattler family…you ROCK!  We can’t believe what we got.  Why you ask?  Cause little brother Kyle was all over the place…LOL. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome.  The Sattler family is such an absolute joy to be around. Everyone has completely different personalities but when together they all just mesh into one big happy crowd!!!  Big sis Audrey just melted our hearts with her silly gestures and lovableness.  And her brother Kyle…lets just say he’s a typical boy.  He would find random junk as we went along and wanted to take every piece of metal home.  I’m sure glad that Uncle Matt decided to tag along and help rangle these goof balls…especially for some shots together with their favorite dude!  We can’t wait to see all the MOD displays Eric’s designing to finally go up & fill their empty walls.  We’ll for sure take shots of the final outcome.

OK…I think this shot is becoming a staple around here in Purple Nickel land.  We seem to create it with every session.  It’s so fun and everytime it’s completely different.  The background, the amount of legs, the variety of shoes, and most noticeably…everyone’s posture.  It totally expresses their personality & how they contrast each other.  This past Friday, we had the opportunity to shoot the Hatch family…Nathan, Amber, Lucas & little Devan.  I LOVE how Nathan & Lucas have the typical ‘guy stance’, straight on GQ!!! Then Amber & Devan have the totally girly ‘free’ spirited stance.  AWESOME!!!  I didn’t even notice this until I was working on the image…it’s what I call a ‘happy accident!’.  This family was so much fun to work with.  Down to earth, silly and very much ‘go with the flow’.  That’s how Eric & I live our lives and we are so thrilled that we are given opportunties to share this with families such as them.  And how cool is it that we are able to create artwork souley off personalities like this!
