Mom is the superhero of this family!!! While dad is away for around 8 months out of the year she’s holding down the fort & running the kids all around town like a crazy lady.  I don’t know how she does it but she sure is one tough cookie!  And quite funny.  These two silly boys were an absolute JOY to be around. Tyson is 6 years old and has some crazy ‘knock knock jokes’…I think he could tell them all afternoon if we’d let him. And lil’ brother Alex is 16 months old.  He’s a miracle baby and had Ebsteins Anomaly, which is a really really rare heart condition.  He sure is a trooper and very strong like his mom Samantha.  He sure does have one cute smile &  we have grandma to thank for getting so many smirks & giggles…she was sooooo awesome.  Oh and Eric totally WOW’d me on this shoot.  He caught the most creative unexpected shots…all while I was directing something else or we were all just walking.  He’s getting so good and know’s exactly what I’m looking for.

Thanks again Montoyo family!  Can’t wait to photograph you & the hubs when he gets back!!!

p.s.  I love all the little intimate moments, the vintage orange VW van, and the fact that this was Alex’s first time laying on the grass *SWEET*.

  8. Melody @Sweet&Saucy Shop Such original photos! I love the styling and look of your photos!

So excited about this past Friday’s session…it went so well.  I was worried that the weather was going to be too hot and way too sunny but it was a perfectly overcasted day (which is rare here in Tucson, Az).  It always gets way to warm here and way too fast it seems.  But this afternoon couldn’t have gone any better especially with the slight breeze…ahhhh.  I can’t tell you how excited I am about this image.  Everything about it just knocks my socks off!  Mom had killer shoes on, big brother Tyson was so ‘on-board’ with the whole shoot (you’ll see this later), and little Alex just melted our hearts.  He was such a trooper.  And we’re so thankful that Grandma came along too just to help out with smiles and all the trinkets.  No one could ever in a million trillion gazillion years guess how she got Alex to smile so much…well it involves a hula hoop and just spinning it around! Yep.  Back and forth on the concrete.  Ha.  So simple.  It’s astonishing. We dodged the hoop several times and even at one point were all busting up laughing at how close Eric came to being the direct target.  She has a wicked arm…that Grandma…at least the hoops are plastic. Ok…so I hope this holds mom over until the rest of the fabulous images are complete.  They’re gonna be really really really fun!

  1. Julie Herman What an adorable little boy! He has such a sweet smile.

  2. Pati O man... Too stinkin cute!! Love it!

Holy moly cuteness…seriously! I had to get this one up to hold mommy over before she has a heart attack with anticipation…LOL. I would too. These two wonderful girls Phoebe & Ruby are what you would say ‘total hams’ when it comes to the camera. Though it seems we got the best images when we were prentending not to take their pictures. I would say ‘Oh I’m not ready yet…just look this way for a sec or talk to each other or look at each other’s noses!’  These are just some of my trickie tricks to distract. And normally I try not to do too many ‘camera aware’ shots meaning everyone is looking at the camera…it’s just not my style…but they have the most beautiful skin & I *heart* their little freackles…which you’ll see later in their close ups.  Plus I LOVE this image since it’s a spin on my funky torso shots.  Can’t wait to show you all of our favorites…it’s gonna be really really tough.

What can I say…we LOVE our clients.  Epecially when they bring lots of cool things on their wedding day…like a freakin cute shiny black Vespa!. We couldn’t get enough of it & kinda wanna steal it from them. Or maybe we can just take a ride sometime?.  We had a total blast the whole day and were treated just like family.  How cool is that?!  WAY COOL…I must say myself.  The weather was perfect and so were the many warm heart-felt conversations.  It was so neat to hear all the funny stories about the newly weds.  Eric & I will always remember their wedding especially since they got married @ the Stillwell House just like us.  I even decided to ‘re-create’ a shot from our own…and who ever can guess by leaving a comment and is correct get’s a little surprise from me!!!  Here’s a hint…it’s the same well-reconized shot from celebrity Tiffany Amber Theissen’s wedding. Let the guessing begin…Oh it’s on…and after that I just might have to post our shot from 3yrs ago!!!
