We hear often from our clients how aware they are of the importance of updating their headshot. Despite this awareness, updating this crucial business tool always seems to land on the back burner. Life gets in the way. We get it! But then something comes up … a featured publication, a special award or an interview for a new job. It’s the eleventh hour and now they are forced to send in that snap shot taken 10 years ago, or worse yet, a phone pic taken outside (in bad light) minutes before sending it off. Don’t get us wrong, sometimes that’s all you can do.
These snap shots are “do-able”, but is it THE shot that’s going to get you recognition, tons of compliments and have you stand out from the crowd? Doubt it. This is why investing in yourself every few years with new professional headshots is incredibly important. It does wonders for your self-confidence and who doesn’t like that? You now welcome the inevitable last minute request to submit your photo. In fact, you seek out places to use it. We think it’s about time you give yourself some much needed attention.
For today’s headshot we have the pleasure of featuring the outgoing and very easy to talk to Brandy. She’s been following us for quite some time and finally decided to put herself first. Of course we obliged! The goal for the shoot was to showcase a fun, approachable, young professional.
I think we nailed it!
“I just want to thank you guys again for such a great experience, it was incredibly empowering to do something like this for myself and to be able to trust you within minutes of meeting with presenting me as more ME than I even know how to do. I sincerely appreciate your talents.” – Brandy
The Nuriddin’s hold a special place in our hearts. In 2010 we photographed their engagements and we were beyond thrilled when we heard they were expecting. When we met these two there was an instant connection. Brenden studied architecture at the UofA (same as Eric) and both him + Michelle have a great appreciation for art. For this session we aimed to keep things simple and sweet, as they are. A casual session at home, just the way we like. It was very inspiring seeing these first time parents so calm and carefree. Little B cried a bit, but because we all kept our patience, we were able to snap those quick moments in between. I’m sure the minute we left he slept for hours. It’s what happens!
